Training for Huntsville Behavior Associates
This project focused on developing a comprehensive teacher training program designed to address and modify maladaptive behaviors within the classroom. Completed in April 2025, the program equips educators with practical strategies rooted in Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP), while integrating positive behavior support systems to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
A variety of tools and resources were utilized in the creation of this training, including Gamma for visual aids, Survey Monkey for feedback collection, and Microsoft PowerPoint for presentation materials.
The primary objectives were to increase teacher confidence in identifying behavior triggers, implement proactive strategies, and maintain consistent intervention plans.
Notable achievements include the creation of scenario-based learning activities, customizable data collection templates, and a step-by-step BIP guide aligned with best practices. Through the development process, I gained deeper insight into adult learning principles, the importance of accessible training design, and the need for flexibility when addressing real-world classroom challenges.
